NYMPC protects South Shore Mall Briefs

FREEPORT, NY-New York Merchants Protective Co. Inc. announced in March that it will take over all fire alarm services for Westfield South Shore Mall and its 130 retailers in Bay Shore, N.Y.
NYMPC, a security services firm, will provide fire alarm maintenance and 24-hour monitoring at the mall, as well any new installations in each of the mall’s many retail shops.
The new contract marks the second agreement between NYMPC and The Westfield Group, one of the largest retail property group, in the world based on equity market capitalization. NYMPC was selected in 2005 for fire alarm services at Westfield Sunrise Mall in Massapequa, NY.
"We are excited to extend our relationship with The Westfield Group," Eric Wahrsager, vice president of marketing and development for NYMPC said in a statement. One of the largest malls in New York, Westfield South Shore is home to approximately 130 retailers.
