Panasonic post reorg Dealers to gather in Arizona

PHILADELPHIA—Panasonic dealers from security and other business units will gather in Chandler, Ariz., on Oct. 15, the first meeting since Panasonic last spring announced its latest reorganization into what is now called PSCNA, Panasonic System Communications Company of North America.

Dave Poulin, director of vertical markets, physical security and mobile video for PSCNA, said it's an educational event where the company will seek feedback from dealers and give them an opportunity for “cross-pollination.”

The unified channel distribution model, which is the heart of the reorg, means that dealers have access “to the full catalog of Panasonic products,” he said, including Toughbook computers, professional display, business telephone, projectors, POS systems, document imaging and security.

While dealers always did have access previously, the reorg brings together engineering resources. “We have the ability to make decisions under one roof,” Poulin explained.

The new structure is designed to “protect dealers for products that are closed … and reward loyalty,” he said. Security dealers have the opportunity to become authorized on other Panasonic products if they choose.
