PSA Security Network names new directors of vendor management and education

WESTMINSTER, Colo.—PSA Security Network on Nov. 30 named Marcus Batten as director of vendor management and Sharon Shaw as director of education.

Batten has 24 years of experience in the physical security industry, including five years in sales and installation, and 19 years in distribution. He previously served as director of distribution for PSA Distribution where he was responsible for all facets of business development, including sales, vendor management, and customer relations. In his new role, Batten will work with PSA vendors, owners and customers, and the PSA Technical Committee to ensure PSA continues to expand and improve its product offerings and vendor related activities.

Shaw will be responsible for improving and increasing the PSA portfolio of industry-leading educational offerings at events, including PSA-TEC and ISC West and East. Shaw will also coordinate PSA's training and education efforts with PSA vendors, owners, customers, other industry education professionals, and industry associations. Since joining PSA in 2008 as executive assistant, Shaw has steadily been given additional responsibilities including committee coordinator, where she worked with industry leaders to implement and drive initiatives of PSA's three committees: the Leadership, Technical, and National Accounts Committees. She also served as the coordinator for vendor management where she was the main point of contact for the security manufacturer community and assisted the PSA vendor management team with operational policies and procedures.
