PSBTech looks to increase residential market share

NUTLEY, N.J.- It looks as though there is more in store for PSBTech. Even though the company has found a 60 percent penetration in the residential market here, PSBTech is looking to further increase its numbers with homeowners by increasing its position in the market. As part of that move, the company was recently selected to join the authorized GE Security Pro dealer network. Growth is a constant goal the company is focusing on, according to Doug Goode, president of the company, and it will market itself heavily to meet its objectives. Goode said the residential market is one that the company can delve further into. “The residential market is a burgeoning market,” he said. “People want to protect their valuables, homes and families.” Goode said he sees the market opening up for a myriad of residential applications including access control- the company added a hosted access control system to its service repertoire earlier this year- and video monitoring, which he said can be ideal for owners looking to oversee vacation or second residences. Since residential installations do not provide the high revenue commercial applications do, Goode said it is sometimes overlooked. “Residential customers feel the short end of the stick at times,” Goode said. “We can fill that niche and give them the service they want.” According to Goode, PSBTech- a full-service security provider- can offer a high level of customer service when it comes to security system installations and monitoring. “The quality of service is essential to continuing growth,” he said.
