Renovated station a perk for all at SAI

POMPANO BEACH, Fla. - In an effort to keep up with the success of its wholesale monitoring activities and authorized dealer program, Security Associates International renovated its central station here with meeting and technology enhancements. The improvements were designed to better suit the company’s ongoing training efforts for better customer response and employee education. The enhancements included renovated study and lounge areas, a biometric access control system and a new internal telecommunications switch. The building’s lobby and exterior also received a facelift. SAI operates two UL-listed central stations, one here and the other at its corporate headquarters in Arlington Heights, Ill. The company works with 1,500 dealers in the United States and monitors less than 200,000 accounts. According to Ray Gross, president and chief executive officer at SAI, the company added 30,000 new accounts in 2004. The Pompano Beach facility handles approximately 70 percent of SAI’s monitoring activities. The location also houses the company’s remote video monitoring equipment, a service that was introduced last year using technology developed by OzVision. “It’s a slow process to get introduced,” said Gross on how it has been received by dealers. “It’s coming along nicely.”
