RJA secures GSA schedule

FAIRFAX, Va. - Fire protection engineering firm Rolf Jensen & Associates has been awarded a federal supply schedule from the General Services Administration, a listing that could make the company a more attractive vendor in the federal market. Although RJA is already active in the government sector, officials at the company said the new listing is anticipated to give the company both added exposure in the sector as well as make it more available to agencies seeking fire engineering and design services. “It’s still very new to us, but we are looking forward to it taking off,” said Jack Brady, director of government services for RJA. Brady said the next step for the company was to educate its staff on the paperwork requirements, as well as become familiar with the rules, regulation and procedures of the designation as an approved federal vendor. RJA offers such services as systems design, engineering and integration; test and evaluation; integrated logistics; and acquisition and life cycle management as part of its enrollment in the professional engineering service schedule. The company had already received its first “very promising lead” as a result of the listing, Brady said. The company services clients from 18 offices around the United States.
