RS2 and EasyLobby integrate visitor management and access products

MUNSTER, Ind., and NEEDHAM, Mass.--Visitor management software maker EasyLobby and access control manufacturer RS2 announced this week the availability of an add-on software module that integrates EasyLobby's Secure Visitor Management software into the RS2 Access It line of products. Further, RS2 is now an authorized dealer of EasyLobby products and will offer the integrated solution to all of its dealers and customers.
"This was pretty much product driven," said Gary Staley, RS2 national sales director and a partner in the firm. "We had several requests, and we contemplated writing our own visitor management software, but reinventing the wheel isn't part of our day-to-day way of doing things." The company's open architecture philosophy is central to the company's selling message, Staley said, so it made sense to go out and find a company to provide the service end users and integrators were requesting.
Though RS2 doesn't specialize in any vertical, he said all of the requests were coming from high-rise office building jobs, including one in Chicago at the Pepsi headquarters, but "I just talked to another account about it this morning, for an Army base in Texas. They already have both RS2 and EasyLobby and didn't know about the integration."
Dealers are going to need some training to sell and implement the EasyLobby software, Staley said, but "it's relatively easy training ... It's just a matter of doing a webinar with EasyLobby. It's not as easy as plug and play, but it's almost there."
