Safeguard Fire moves in Alabama

CHILDERSBURG, Ala.--Safeguard Fire and Alarm Equipment, an installer of fire alarm, suppression and security systems, will double the size of its headquarters this summer when it moves into new headquarters in nearby Oak Grove.
The company broke ground on the new 6,000-square-foot headquarters on March 10. The move, the fifth in 31 years, is necessary because of growth in the business, according to a statement.
Safeguard was founded in 1978 by James and Sandra Carpenter. The Carpenter's four children became the owners in 2008. The company employs 13.
