Safety Vision announces lead embedded software designer

Mobile video surveillance provider Safety Vision announced on Feb. 3 the hiring of Dr. Tao Wu as lead embedded software designer for the company's evolving line of mobile digital video recorder (MDVR) systems.
These onboard surveillance camera solutions—in use by transit, police, school bus, and other mobile fleets worldwide—involve the capture and management of recorded video, audio, system health, and metadata files.
Dr. Wu, who holds a Ph.D. and an M.S. in Electrical & Computer Engineering from Michigan State University, also earned an M.S. and a B.S. in Electrical & Computer Engineering from the University of Electronic Science & Technology of China. Fluent in English and Chinese, he brings extensive hands-on experience with major network protocol design and implementation as well as embedded operating systems, most recently with Samsung Information Systems America.
