SAIC names Amy Alving chief technology officer Brief

SAN DIEGO and MCLEAN, Va.—SAIC, now publicly traded on the New York Stock Exchange, announced in early December the appointment of senior vice president Amy Alving to chief technology officer. She will direct the Office of Technology, liking SAIC’s technical strengths to solving customer problems, guiding technology investments, and developing and recruiting technical talent. Alving joined SAIC in 2005 as CTO for the Engineering, Training and Logistics Group, and was later promoted to chief scientist for the company. Prior to SAIC, Alving worked as the director of the Special Projects Office at DARPA.
