Samsung Camera added to GSA’s supplier site

SECAUCUS, N.J. - The General Services Administration has awarded a GSA contract number to Samsung Camera’s line of security products, which will be listed on the GSA Advantage online shopping and ordering system. The GSA Advantage website provides access to thousands of contractors and millions of services and products. Those who shop the site are federal employees with government-wide SmartPay purchase cards or GSA Activity Address Code. Government purchasers will be able to learn about Samusung’s products, including cameras, lenses, switchers, multiplexers, quads, time-lapse VCRs, monitors, DVRs, web cameras and accessories. According to Frank Polidoro, national sales manager for Samsung Camera, government security requirements and needs precipitated Samsung’s selection by the GSA. “Because the heightened need for high security in many government agencies and departments, the addition of our line of products becomes an important option for those who want the best security equipment they can install, yet are limited by budget constraints,” Polidoro said. According to its website, the GSA Advantage has been the premier online procurement source for federal employees since 1995. The purpose of the site is to increase efficiency in ordering for federal agencies.
