NEW YORK--Samsung Techwin, a maker of CCTV products, announced in December that Advanced Digital Security Solutions is now the exclusive partner for conducting Techwin's CCTV business in North and Central America, as well as certain South American countries.
The Samsung Techwin business will be operated by ADSS under the name Samsung 360. It will be headquartered here, with warehouse operations based in Denver, Colo.
Previously, Samsung Techwin was partnered with Samsung Opto-electronics, of Secaucus, New Jersey. Much of the management team has come over to ADSS. Frank Polidoro, former national sales manager for Samsung Opto, will become vice president, in charge of day-to-day operations for ADSS. Former Opto employee Warren Partin will become western regional sales manager.
ADSS founder and chief executive officer, Ayman Ashour, said in a statement that, "Many of the existing sales agencies that were involved in bringing the Samsung Techwin product line to market through Samsung Techwin's subsidiary Samsung Opto-electronics ... will remain with ADSS. This will give us a good foundation to continue the strong growth of Samsung Techwin's advanced CCTV line."
No terms of the agreement were released, nor were any sales figures for Samsung Techwin in the Americas.
