Security members place your industry bets at ISC West

The city that is considered America’s playground welcomes what is expected to be the largest ISC West event to date. This year the Sands Expo and Convention Center hosts the gala for end users, integrators and manufacturers, alike. As the security industry grows, so does attendance at this yearly showcase of new products and seminars. Early last month, attendee registration was already 26 percent higher in comparison to last year’s event. Of those, 22 percent of the pre-registrants are new to the conference. The exhibition begins April 6 and runs through April 8. The exhibition is sponsored by the Security Industry Association. Dealers, integrators and end users will have an opportunity to network with more than 800 exhibiting companies at the show. ISC West has expanded in more ways than one. The average booth size has increased to 300 square feet from last year’s 250 square feet, according to Reed Exhibitions, the producer of the show. And the annual new product showcase presented by the Security Industry Association will include 20 percent more new product entries than last year, said Reed Exhibitions. Attendees will have the opportunity to take home more than just product and company pamphlets. This year, ISC West introduces, unlike previous shows, continuing education units at various programs sponsored by the University of Nevada at Las Vegas, SIA, NBFAA and CSAA. Industry members of the Security Industry Association will moderate seminars about the changing landscape of the security industry. Security professionals will have an opportunity to mix and mingle with others in the industry at several social and networking opportunities. These events include the National Burgular Fire Alarm Association spring conference; the Alarm Industry Research and Educational Foundation / NBFAA Golf Tournament and evening gala; the annual SAMMY awards; and vendor customer appreciation receptions. Not only will the conference introduce new technologies, products and solutions to the security industry, but it will also be a stage for educational experiences.
