Select Security acquires

LANCASTER, Pa. - Select Security announced on March 7 that it has acquired the assets of SecurityNet, a security provider based in Hazleton, Pa. Select Security obtained the entire base of SecurityNet’s residential and commercial customers and will monitor all of the company’s alarm systems, according to a statement released by the company. The same statement said that Select Security will retain SecurityNet’s employees as well. Select Security also announced that it had completed renovations to its new offices in downtown Lancaster and had relocated to the building in October 2007. The $3 million purchase and renovation included the addition of a 1,000 AMP electrical service, twin 150KW generators connected to a 600AMP transfer system, an elevator and sprinkler system, and over 30 tons air conditioning, according to Patrick Egan, president of Select Security.
