Senstar-Stellar opens indoor demo area for outdoor sensors

June 12, 2003 OTTAWA - Outdoor perimeter detection company Senstar-Stellar Corp. has opened a demonstration and training facility at its headquarters. According to Michael Rack, vice president of marketing and development, the new demonstration room showcases the company’s sensors and monitoring systems in a functional environment meant to replicate the outdoors. "It may seem ironic for a supplier of outdoor security products to be demonstrating them indoors, but here in Ottawa, we spend a great amount of the year in the cold and under snow," he said. "This room is meant to complement our 10-acre outdoor test and demo site." The demonstration room is divided into sections reflecting the company’s major markets. That includes prisons, airports, military, government, commercial, industrial, VIP residences, and utilities and nuclear facilities.
