Sentry Technology strikes deal with Chubb

HAUPPAUGE, N.Y.-An RF tag and CCTV maker announced Monday that it struck a deal with a division of Chubb Security to sell some of its product line in Belgium and Holland, a deal that will increase the reach of Sentry Technology's international sales coverage, according to officials at that company. The deal with Chubb's N.V. Chubb Lips S.A. subsidiary covers Sentry's proprietary SmartTrack traveling CCTV system, used by retailers and industrial users for asset and personnel protection. Chubb installs more than 300,000 security cameras each year on an international scale, according to Peter Murdoch, Sentry's president and chief executive officer. "The company clearly has the marketing strength to increase the penetration of SmartTrack and we anticipate that our relationship with Chubb will grow to include many other subsidiaries in Chubb's vast worldwide network," Murdoch said.
