SIA announces security project manager certification

ALEXANDRIA, Va.--The Security Industry Association has posted the 2006 schedule for certified security project manager classes. The class for security project managers follows the structure and principles of a typical project management certification program.
The five-day classroom series covers contracts, codes and risk management, security project management, estimating security projects, project financial management and managing the project team.
Participants will complete approximately 20 hours of prerequisite self-study coursework prior to attending the classroom program.
The CSPM schedule is Feb. 6-10 in San Francisco, Feb. 17-21 in Toronto, April 2-7 in Las Vegas, May 8-12 in Chicago and June 12-16 in Baltimore.
