SIA motors on for education

February 24, 2005 ALEXANDRIA, Va. - The Security Industry Association will host the Second Annual Ride for Education in Las Vegas on the day after the close of ISC West. The proceeds from the guided motorcycle ride, which will be held on Saturday, April 9, will benefit SIA’s Education Grant Fund. The cost is $30, plus the cost of a bike rental. The ride will take participants through the Nevada desert and includes a catered lunch by Smokin’ Sams. More than one dozen riders took part in 2004’s ride and in a statement Richard Chace, SIA’s executive director, said the organization hopes to surpass that attendance this year. This year’s sponsors include ADI, GE Security, The Systems Depot and Tri-Ed Security Distribution.
