Siemens passes test Brief

FLORHAM PARK, N.J.--Siemens Fire Safety, a division of Siemens Building Technologies, upgraded fire protection systems at the Newark, N.J.-based New Jersey Institute of Technology earlier this year.
This unit of the company, which is based here, installed the Siemens MXLV system that provides emergency voice evacuation and sprinkler monitoring. Three buildings, housing up to 1,500 students, feature the technology.
Siemens supplies, installs and services automation and control, information and communications, lighting, medical, power and transportation equipment, upgraded the university's existing network.
