ADI event addresses copper theft, ways to increase RMR

MELVILLE--In an effort to help security dealers diversify their business and increase RMR, ADI is holding an "Outdoor Perimeter Week" July 28 through Aug. 1 at its branches across the country.

With the proliferation of copper theft, perimeter protection is an emerging market segment that will help dealers diversify their businesses at a time when the residential housing segment is weakening, said Scott Sturgess, director of product marketing for intrusion an fire products at ADI, in a statement.

Dealers and integrators will "receive a firsthand look at solutions to safeguard job sites, equipment and tools against theft and vandalism. Equipped with built-in GPS, motion detectors, sensors, and alarm notification, these products provide reliable solutions to monitor and protect valuable assets," according to a prepared statement.
