Stanley Security Solutions, Inc. names Richard Shanks VP of global biz dev of Stanley Mechanical Access Solutions Platform

INDIANAPOLIS, Ind.—Stanley Security Solutions, a division of Stanley Works, Inc., on Aug. 31 appointed Richard Shanks as vice president of Global Business Development for the Mechanical Access Solutions (MAS) platform. Shanks will work closely with the MAS business units to identify, close and integrate acquisition targets and further expand the MAS platform both domestically and globally for Stanley Security Solutions.
Shanks joined the Stanley Access Technologies business in 2000, following a successful ten-year career at General Electric. During the past nine years, Shanks has held Stanley Security Solutions leadership roles in sales, marketing, national and government accounts.
“Under Rich's leadership, the Stanley Mechanical Solutions national and government accounts business units have delivered record growth, which has significantly contributed to the success enjoyed by the Access Technologies (SAT) and Mechanical Solutions (SMS) businesses,” explained Justin Boswell, President, Mechanical Access Solutions. “His accomplishments over the past nine years uniquely qualify him to lead our efforts for global expansion of the Mechanical Access platform.”
