Statewide Fire to monitor NYC schools

STATEN ISLAND, N.Y.--Statewide Fire Corp. won a five-year contract to monitor fire alarm systems at various New York City schools. The contract, awarded in early March, has an estimated value of $80,000 per year, said Cathi Luongo, customer relations manager. Statewide Fire Corp. is a UL-listed New York City Fire Department-approved fire alarm monitoring facility, one of only 17 central stations with that distinction. It is the only one of those 17 to be female-owned and operated. "From our management team to our dispatchers, our responsibility for the safety of our clients is taken seriously here, and we are proud to have been chosen to protect the children in our schools," Pamela Coppola, president of Statewide Fire Corp., said in a statement.
