MAHWAH, N.J.-Summit Security Services, a supplier of security solutions and guards, has teamed with the Bergen County Police Department and the Northern New Jersey Chapter of ASIS International to host an upcoming seminar covering the latest counter terrorism techniques, May 7. It will be held here at the Bergen County Law and Public Safety Institute.
Targeted to law enforcement officials and corporate security executives, the seminar will offer a comprehensive briefing on counter surveillance. Topics will include how to recognize and identify hostile surveillance areas and locations; pinpoint surveillance vulnerabilities; recognize surveillance mannerisms; blend into an environment; and how to identify those doing surveillance.
Participants also will see a demonstration of the latest technology for window treatments and glazing to protect against possible bomb blasts in an urban environment. Following the seminar will be a tour of the Bergen County Police Academy for ASIS members.
"The seminar will provide vital counter surveillance information for both law enforcement and the corporate security sector," said Thomas Whittles, New Jersey Regional Manager for Summit Security Services and President of the ASIS Northern New Jersey Chapter, in a statement. "We are very pleased to join with the Bergen County Police Department in hosting this event featuring the latest and most updated counter terrorism techniques."
