TAC acquires Applied Control Technology

DALLAS--Following close on the heals of a major merger with Invensys Building Systems, TAC announced on August 11 the acquisition of Applied Control Technology, a company based in Raleigh, N.C., with business units dealing in building controls, security, fire, mechanical service and HVAC. Its security integration division is Applied Systems Technology. Terms of the deals were not released.
ACT has additional offices in Charlotte, Kernersville and Greenville, N.C. It was founded in 1982 and employs 130. The company will be merged into TAC's Systems Integration division.
