TechSec announces former DHS CSO as keynote speaker

DALLAS—TechSec Solutions, a conference dedicated to exploring the impact of IP technology on the physical security industry, has announced Jack Johnson, a partner and managing director at PricewaterhouseCoopers’ Washington Federal Practice and the former chief security officer for the Department of Homeland Security, as its keynote speaker for its fifth annual event, happening Feb. 23 through 25 here at the Fairmont Hotel. Jack Johnson has spent a lifetime working in the security industry, moving from his time in the Army and as a Fairfax County detective to more than 20 years in the Secret Service, before taking on his DHS role. In this capacity as DHS CSO, he directed all security related activities for the 22 agencies and more than 180,000 employees that now comprise DHS. Additionally, the CSO provided direct support to the chief information officer in the area of security policies and procedures as they related to the IT environment within DHS. He now advises senior level government officials as a partner with PricewaterhouseCoopers, providing strategic planning for risk management, security technology, and intelligence matters to those charged with keeping the American people safe from all manner of threats. He is a member of the Council on Global Terrorism and Political Instability for the American Society for Industrial Security, a founding member of the Intelligence and National Security Alliance, a member of the Board of Advisors for InfraGard, the Security Analysis and Risk Management Association and the American Bankers Association. How do IP-based security technology, high-level risk management, intelligence, and the federal procurement processes come together? What is top of mind for world’s foremost security planners?
