Trans-Alarm acquires monitoring accounts

BURNSVILLE, MN - Trans - Alarm announced on Feb. 1 that it has completed the acquisition of the security monitoring accounts of Continental Alarm & Detection, a division of Continental Fire Sprinkler Company based in Omaha, Neb. Details of the transaction were not released, but Trans-Alarm said in a prepared statement that the sale includes a majority of the monitoring accounts of Continental, which are primarily commercial and are located mainly in Nebraska and Iowa. Alarm monitoring services will be provided by Trans-Alarm. However, Continental will continue to offer fire sprinkler and alarm system installation, maintenance and inspection services.
