HAUPPAUGE, N.Y.--Vicon Industries, a leading designer and producer of video surveillance systems, has had its camera domes and pan-and-tilt drives chosen to be part of an integrated video surveillance system to be installed at Beijing National Stadium. The opening and closing ceremonies of the 2008 Summer Olympics, as well as some of the athletic events, will be held at this newly constructed venue. When completed in March 2008, the stadium will have a seating capacity of 91,000. Vicon China, headquartered in Hong Kong with offices throughout China, is providing local support for this project.
