Videolarm is the latest to earn GSA distinction

June 17, 2004 ATLANTA - Surveillance product manufacturer Videolarm is the latest security company to be awarded a U.S. General Services Administration Schedule, enabling government agencies that require this distinction when buying products and services to tap into the 500 different products offered by Videolarm. The GSA recognition is not only expected to benefit Videolarm and broaden its product sales in the government market, but installers who install Videolarm’s products are anticipated to reap the rewards as well. According to David Krysh, vice president of sales and marketing for Videolarm, dealers can tap into Videolarms’ GSA Schedule to offer their services to the government market. Videolarm is just one of several companies to earn this distinction. InfoGraphic, which is now part of GE Security, was awarded a GSA Schedule in 2002, while Samsung Camera was added to the GSA Schedule in 2003. SimplexGrinnell earned a spot on the GSA schedule for maintenance and repair in late 2003.   Videolarm began the GSA Schedule approval process two years ago. It was awarded a five-year GSA contract in May. As part of the GSA Schedule, the government will be able to buy Videolarm products at a predetermined price. Its products will be among those listed in an electronic catalog used by federal agencies, defense contractors and state agencies.
