Vindicator ups staff, training at HQ

AUSTIN, Texas-Product manufacturer Vindicator Technologies moved to a new headquarters this spring, enabling the company to increase staffing by 20 percent and expand product training. The new location comes at an ideal time for the growing company, said Rick Gross, president and chief executive officer of Vindicator, which has served the likes of the military, correction facilities and hospitals. The company provides turnkey security systems by manufacturing hardware and software for the communication network, or the backbone of an integrated security system, then integrates various security products. Installation is available through Vindicator's relationships with about 70 systems integrators. "We outgrew our existing space and our lease was due," Gross said about the timing for the new facility. "There's no sense in negotiating on space that you don't fit into." Now with 20,000 square feet, 30 percent more space than the company's previous location, Vindicator has a larger lab for engineering and development of its communication network system and to test systems that it integrates. Its product training facility can be used by both Vindicator's integrators and the end user. "We put on six to eight courses (annually) on products and the facility we had was just too small," said Gross. Growth for the company has been steady, said Gross, reaching about a 28 percent increase in revenue each year. Part of the reason, he said, is the addition of a foreign language platform that allowed the company to enter new markets. Other new additions include redundancy and encryption features. Later this year the company intends to roll out enhanced versions of its existing product lines, with additions that will enable increased capacity and speed of certain product. Specific details were not available by press time.
