VistaScape helps protect McGhee Tyson Airport

September 23, 2004 KNOXVILLE, Tenn. - The Knoxville McGhee Tyson Airport has deployed an application developed by Atlanta-based VistaScape Security Systems as part of its perimeter security system. Working with the Metropolitan Knoxville Airport Authority, VistaScape provided its Automated Wide-Area Surveillance software platform. The platform, which is Microsoft based, connects a number of sensors, including chemical detectors and surveillance cameras, to monitor for intruders and collect data for historical reports. Based 12 miles south of downtown Knoxville, the airport is located on more than 2,000 acres of land.
