VRI announces Hobbs as chief medical officer

Valued Relationships Inc., a provider of in-home health monitoring systems, announced April 7 the hiring of Gregory D. Hobbs, MD, as chief medical officer. Hobbs brings extensive experience in telemedicine, medical management, emergency medicine/trauma, and medical/legal issues to VRI. Prior to joining VRI, Hobbs served as senior vice president of clinical applications for Vidacare, a medical device company. Prior to that Hobbs was chief medical officer of ACS Healthcare Solutions, Inc., a $5billion global healthcare consulting and outsourcing company. Hobbs also served for 12 years as chairman of the Department of Emergency Medicine at Scott & White Memorial Hospital, a level 1 trauma center and academic medical center, and Texas A&M University College of Medicine. VRI is a healthcare services company that provides medical alert monitoring, and has nearly 20 years of experience. The company’s services portfolio includes PERS, electronic medication reminder devices, case management, telehealth and vitals monitoring, fall detection, medication management and mobile medical alert solutions.
