Looking forward to ISC West?

No, I didn't think so. I've got some very good news for you ... it's something that might change up your ISC West experience. Get a group of your co-workers or friends together and start getting ready for a new event debuting this year at ISC West. Want to guess what it is? Here are some clues: It will not be in a windowless function room. There will not be a buffet with chicken wings, cheese platters and cheap wine. It's not in a booth or a casino. You don't have to wear a suit. What kind of ISC West event could it be? It's a Security 5K, a Fun Run, co-sponsored by us, Security Systems News, in Vegas. And it's all happening Thursday morning, March 25. Now before you close this page and say it's not for you. It is. Even if you've never run or walked 3.1 miles before, the Security 5K is THE way to sweat out those toxins and get ready for Day 2 on the show floor (the booths, the windowless function rooms, the chicken-wing buffets and the casinos.) Walkers, speed walkers, joggers, and even seasoned competitive runners will be there. Get ready to your group together and start training. Start walking at lunch. And here's a Web site if you want some advise on how to get started. Need another reason to sign up for the fun run? In addition to being good for you, it's for a great cause. All proceeds will benefit Mission 500, an organization that has a goal of sponsoring 500 children (and more) through the World Vision humanitarian organization. (Security Director News, Reed Exhibitions, Deister Electronic are the other organizing sponsors.) I'll have more sign up info for you later this week.
