S2 granted patent

Just a little update on S2, one of the first companies to really embrace the IP-technology movement into security. They've just scored a patent for the entire architecture of their product line, which is pretty interesting. Not sure if this closes anyone else out, or is just an indication of how unique their appliance-based access control and video management is, but S2 seems to be quietly gaining some decent market share. I just interviewed them about the expansion of their customer support center. That's always a good sign - if you need a bigger customer support center, you must have customers, right?
