Bosch unveils new PC-based DVR

Bosch Security Systems has added DESAXL, a Windows XP Professional, PC-based digital video recorder, to the DESA series of digital video recorders for remote, multi-camera automated surveillance.

The DESAXL records 120-240 frames per second, with average file sizes of three to six KB per image. This allows high quality recording at 15 percent motion for up to 1,200 days. There are five motion detection zones that are configurable per camera. The DESAXL supports eight or 16 video inputs with independently adjustable frame rate settings for recording flexibility.

It is also equipped with Smart Motion Search—the user identifies an area and the system automatically scans archived files for motion or changes, saving hours of tedious manual scanning.
