System Sensor introduces its high-sensitivity, spot-type laser detector
With alarm settings from 0.02 percent to 2 percent per foot obscuration, Pinnacle from System Sensor is a high-sensitivity, spot-type smoke detector. Pinnacle senses initial particles of combustion, which provides early fire recognition.
Pinnacle also uses a laser diode in place of a standard infrared LED in the sensing chamber. The microprocessor-based design rejects false alarm signals by employing a suite of on-board processing algorithms even when set to extremely high sensitivities. This technology can be used in environments where there is a substantial cost of downtime or a significant investment in installed equipment. Pinnacle has been used in telecommunication facilities and clean rooms worldwide.
