SCHAUMBURG, Ill.– Convergint Technologies, a global systems integrator based here, today announced the acquisition of Dakota Security Systems, one of the fastest growing and most well respected systems integrators in the country.
Cassie Weaver was appointed the operation coordinator for Dakota Security, a PSA Security owner based here, in May. She assists with sales and engineering and other duties around the office. Dakota Security has more than 100 employees. Its operations are concentrated in the upper Midwest with offices in Des Moines, Iowa; Omaha, Neb.; Fargo, N.D.; and Chicago. It also has an East Coast office in New York, and a West Coast office in Phoenix. Originally from Iowa, Weaver’s family moved to South Dakota when she graduated from high school. She eventually moved away but then returned to the area. Security Systems News talked with her in November and asked her five questions.

ROCHESTER, N.Y.—Doyle Security Systems in November acquired 300 accounts from Dakota Systems, both based here, which will now be monitored by Doyle’s central station, based in Henrietta, N.Y., a suburb of Rochester.
TORRANCE, Calif.—AMAG Technology, an access control, IP video and intrusion management solution provider, on March 30 welcomed Matt Vellek as its new central north regional sales manager. Vellek will support existing SymmetryTM Authorized Resellers with sales initiatives in Nebraska, Kansas, Minnesota, Iowa, Missouri, Wisconsin, Illinois, Michigan, Indiana, Ohio and Kentucky.
SIOUX FALLS, S.D.—Dakota Security Systems, a security systems integration and bank equipment company on Nov. 15 announced it had named Brad Miller as the regional vice president for its Arizona regional office.
