SCHAFFHAUSEN, Switzerland—Tyco announced Dec. 6 that it had closed on the $100 million acquisition of wireless security product provider Visonic. Now, Visonic is being evaluated by an integration team as part of the acquisition process, Mark VanDover, president of Tyco Security products, told Security Systems News in an email interview.
BOCA RATON, Fla.—Tyco International, parent company of ADT, is in talks to acquire security product manufacturer Visonic, which is based in Tel Aviv, Israel.
“I can confirm that we’re in discussion with Visonic and that may or may not lead to definitive transaction,” Tyco spokesman Paul FitzHenry told Security Systems News on June 21.
