Communications solutions provider Talk-A-Phone has introduced a free-standing, dual faceplate pedestal mount that allows an emergency/information or access phone to be mounted in almost any location. The additional faceplate on the ETP-PMD Dual Pedestal Mount allows a card reader, camera, directory, or other device to be mounted directly above the phone. A fluorescent light is built to illuminate both faceplates at all times.

Emergency phones from Talk-A-Phone are equipped with an LED indicator for the hearing impaired, has raised lettering and Braille characters for patrons with impaired vision. If a patron needs assistance, then he or she can apply minimal pressure to the metal emergency button. The system can use regular phone lines or analog PBX. The unit has an auto-answer feature that enables personnel to monitor and initiate calls into the elevator. ADA-compliant area of rescue command units can accommodate and control up to 16 areas of rescue stations.

The Entraguard Platinum from Kerri Systems has a 5,000-tenant capacity. The unit is weather resistant and has a 14-gauge stainless steel enclosure. The Entraguard Platinum features two large font sizes: 3/8 inch for ten-name display and 1/2 inch for seven-name display. A recess mount kit, hood, camera, and handset are available with the unit. The system can also be fitted with the PXL-500 Tiger Controller and SB-593 Satellite Expansion Board to provide one or two door card access capability within the unit itself. Each unit can be programmed with three rotating messages for display.

The SM1-WP from ETS is a pre-amplified, weatherproof surveillance microphone. It features a unique corrosive resistant and waterproof element. The SMI-WP is packaged in a cast aluminum housing.
