Lenel announces OnGuard’s iris identity technology

Lenel Systems has announced that it has integrated iris identity technology into the company’s OnGuard security platform, providing a new way of controlling physical access to an area by authenticating the identity of individuals previously enrolled into an active OnGuard system.

Iris identity integration is configured and managed as part of Lenel’s OnGuard Identity Center applications. Iris data capture is performed at an OnGuard cardholder enrollment station.

AWID introduces CBio, a fingerprint verification reader

AWID announces the release of the AWID CBio, a fingerprint verification reader that provides a standard Wiegand output of the cardholder number after accurate verification of the users fingerprint. The CBio utilizes the most accurate of all verification methods, a one-to-one comparison of the fingerprint template presented to the template stored on either a16K Secure PicoPass Smart Card or Bio Wafer. The CBio has a durable optical fingerprint sensor from SecuGen and is encased in a rugged polycarbonate housing that can be mounted on a single gang box.

Amag’s S813 fingerprint plus smart card reader

The Amag S813 reader combines the Bioscrypt MV1200 fingerprint sensor with a Philips Mifare/Mifare DESFire contactless smart card chip to produce a high-security front-end to an access control system.

Hectrix Limited launches SSL-protected access control and time attendance s

The SSL protected access control and time attendance system from Hectrix, called the ACTAtek, is a web-based system that has the software and hardware built in it. It can be used in a standalone capacity. Network support from TCP/IP networking protocol allows ACTAtek to be operated in a multiple device environment in primary and secondary mode. Its modular build allows it to integrate with devices, such as a fingerprint sensor, card reader, or built-in camera.

SecuGen expands fingerprint sensor

SecuGen’s FDA02 is a one to many matching algorithm for rapid user identification. The system includes a patented optical fingerprint module and a PC board with CPU and flash memory that can hold up to 2,000 fingerprint records. The FDA02 can be used as a stand-alone application because fingerprint capture, minutiae extraction and template matching are all conducted in the on board CPU.

Panasonic Security Systems' BM-ET330 Iris Recognition Reader features a double speed processor, and an RS485 interface. Additional language is available on the reader that supports audio prompts and a built-in real-time clock for time and attendance applications.

MDI Security Systems unveils nTEGRITY access control readers

nTEGRITY from MDI Security Systems is designed to integrate with the company’s line of security management software solutions and industry access control systems. The readers can read multiple card technologies including, HID, MiFare and other card formats at both 125 KHz and 13.56 MHz. The access control system enables users to enroll directly at the reader. Users can enter security settings and commands using the readers LCD display panel.
