Bosch Security Systems unveils Access Easy Controller

Access Easy Controller is a new generation access controller that combines the features of web server and security system functionality into one complete unit. The CPU of the AEC uses a 32-bit microprocessor running at a blazing 300 MHz speed. Any computer of different operating system and hardware platform that runs a standard web browser program, such as Internet Explorer, Netscape, or Firefox, can now be used to access, monitor, manage, and control any AEC which, in turn, controls the door, access readers, alarms, and other devices.

Dortronics offers new AT-FT Timer

Dortronics is offering a new compact timer with fixed or adjustable time delay. This timer will operate on 12 or 24 volts DC, requiring only .025 amps. With dual voltage and built-in spike protection, both AT and FT timers have flying leads to allow easy mounting and provide DPDT - 3 Amp contact outputs. Typical applications include delayed re-locking control for electric locking hardware. Other uses are as an alarm shunt and to mirror single outputs for multiple control systems.

Id-Confirm unveils portable biometric

Id-confirm introduced a portable biometric identity verification system called SecureLink that provides privacy-sensitive methods to prevent identity theft and fraud.
The technology uses multi-factor authentication in a handheld device that includes the biometric software, hardware and services into an integrated, end-to-end turnkey solution. A fingerprint reader is used as the personal enrollment device.

Saflok streamlines front desk system

Saflok introduces Desklinc, which offers the flexibility and function of a large property, front desk system with smart/memory card capability.
Desklinc converts employee keycards into a device that stores/carries and downloads information from the lock, enabling lock audit information, staff access and lock error codes to be tagged onto smart cards.
Locks may also be interrogated and programmed with special smart cards so users will not be required to load and carry a special device to the lock.

Seco-Larm premiers heavy-duty lock

Seco-Larm announces the E-941SA-80. This miniature electromagnetic lock measures less than three inches and is designed for use in cabinets and drawers with a dual-voltage 12 or 24VDC and 80-pound holding force.
The lock is equipped with 36-inch wire leads and a removable bracket for easy installation.

Marks USA's Survivor with Clutch

Marks USA has introduced two new key-in-lever Survivor Series, Grade 2 locksets featuring the "Clutch," which are available for both conventional and IC cores.
When locked, the "Clutch" disengages the outside lever, allowing it to turn freely, so that it cannot be broken with force. Each contains its own proprietary lever-support spring, which eliminates lever droop.
All Marks locksets feature a lifetime mechanical warranty and all standard functions are available in both the American design, with angular return, and the Crescent design, with a smooth, rounded lever.
