Kaba's E-Plex 5200 and 5700

Kaba Access Control's E-Plex 5200 and E-Plex 5700 are extensions of the E-Plex 5000 Series, which is built upon the Simplex locks with the enhanced security and convenience of electronic access control. Both the E-Plex 5200 and 5700 can have up to 3,000 access users, and a 30,000-event audit trail. Each lock also holds up to 16 access schedules and 32 programmable holiday/vacation blocks. The E-Plex 5200 is designed for PIN-only access, while the E-Plex 5700 has PIN and PROX access. The E-Plex 5700 can be scheduled as desired to accept PIN only, Prox card only, or both PIN and PROX.

Dortronics updates ET Timer

The new universal electronic time delay from Dortronics, an expanded version of its AT/FT time delay, can be added as an option to many of Dortronics' push buttons, key switches and sounders. It provides an adjustable one-to-60 second time delayed DPDT - 3 Amp dry contact output. The device can be triggered from a normally open contact or a normally closed contact. Applications include delayed re-locking control for electric locking hardware, or as an alarm shunt.

Alarm Lock's Trilogy DL1200 Series

Alarm Lock Systems, Inc. has announced the Narrow Stile line of Trilogy Access Locks, which feature aluminum door retrofit outside trim for Adams Rite latch locks. The DL1200 Series contains an all-metal, vandal-resistant 12-button keypad, which supports 100 PIN codes, is fingertip/keypad programmable and includes two lithium 3V batteries. These non-handed locks are fully field reversible, can operate in extreme temperatures, include a key override and are available in four standard finishes.

The EBP-401 Door Announcer System replaced the EBP-405A Complete Infrared Door Announcer Kit and all accessories as of May 1, 2006. The EBP-401 has a 40-foot operating distance across a doorway, exclusive entry and exit infrared beams, adjustable volume control.

Ingersoll Rand promotes Campus Lock Series

Schlage modular stand-alone locks, the CL5200 Cylindrical and CL5600 Mortise Series of Campus Locks, provide increased aesthetics for college residence halls, military housing, offices and apartments. The reader, override cylinder, lever and rose are separated in the new CL modular locks, taking up less space and exposing more of the door to provide a superior appearance. The locking systems are available in a variety of finishes and lever styles to match existing Schlage mechanical locksets.

Safety Technology International debuts Mounting Pedestal

Safety Technology International's new Mounting Pedestals offer a convenient way to mount a variety of access control equipment outdoors. Two models are available: The STI-9779 measures 60 inches (1524mm) high and is designed to be anchored, cemented and buried into the ground. The STI-9780 measures 42 inches (1067mm) high and is designed with a base to mount to a concrete pad. Both models have a durable anti-corrosive powder coat finish.

Dortronics offers new AT-FT Timer

Dortronics is offering a new compact timer with fixed or adjustable time delay. This timer will operate on 12 or 24 volts DC, requiring only .025 amps. With dual voltage and built-in spike protection, both AT and FT timers have flying leads to allow easy mounting and provide DPDT - 3 Amp contact outputs. Typical applications include delayed re-locking control for electric locking hardware. Other uses are as an alarm shunt and to mirror single outputs for multiple control systems.

Saflok streamlines front desk system

Saflok introduces Desklinc, which offers the flexibility and function of a large property, front desk system with smart/memory card capability.
Desklinc converts employee keycards into a device that stores/carries and downloads information from the lock, enabling lock audit information, staff access and lock error codes to be tagged onto smart cards.
Locks may also be interrogated and programmed with special smart cards so users will not be required to load and carry a special device to the lock.

Seco-Larm premiers heavy-duty lock

Seco-Larm announces the E-941SA-80. This miniature electromagnetic lock measures less than three inches and is designed for use in cabinets and drawers with a dual-voltage 12 or 24VDC and 80-pound holding force.
The lock is equipped with 36-inch wire leads and a removable bracket for easy installation.
