Axis Communications releases new hardware and software platforms

Axis Communications has finalized the development of its new hardware and software platforms, which will be the basis for the company’s next generation of network video products. The new video chip, ARTPEC-2, and a new design platform enable Axis to increase flexibility and efficiency in product development and reduce overall time to market new products.

American Fibertek’s new transmitters and receivers

American Fibertek’s MTM-1, MTM-3 and MTM-3S single channel FM video camera mount transmission systems are designed to offer transparent operation with other manufacturers’ CCTV cameras and monitors. The units mount to the BNC connectors on a camera’s video output.

Ritron releases wireless vehicle detection system

The Quick Talk vS is composed of an integrated battery-powered radio transmitter with voice storage capability and a vehicle sensor. The sensor detects changes in the magnetic field caused by moving ferrous metal. The system is available in VHF, UHF, and UHF LTR/PassPort Trunking models.

IFS’ CopperLine transmits over Cat 5 or UTP cable

International Fiber Systems has announced the introduction of a new line of transmission products over Cat 5 or UTP cable. The IFS CopperLine TPT1000M and TPR1000 are environmentally hardened UTP video transmitter and receiver. A full line of video, video and data and video multiplexing units are being introduced.

The IFS CopperLine delivers EIA/TIA RS250-C Medium Haul Video Performance at 1,500 feet plus.

Comtrol Corp. extends DeviceMaster line

Comtrol Corp. has expanded its line of DeviceMaster products to include a 16-port version of its DeviceMaster PRO product. The DeviceMaster PRO 16-Port 10/100 Base-T device server provides bus-independent serial port expansion and a platform for hosting and running custom-developed applications.

The DeviceMaster PRO device server delivers peripheral connectivity using the Ethernet LAN. The server supports RS-232/422/485 software-selectable interfaces on 16 RJ45 ports.

International Fiber Systems introduces three-port Ethernet switch

International Fiber Systems has announced the introduction of its D7400WDM-RSH Series three-port Ethernet switch, a new model within the D7400 Series. The IFS D7400WDM-RSH, when equipped in a ring with four or more individual units, offers three levels of redundancy in the event of a fiber failure. In the event of a fiber failure, the D7400WDM-RSH automatically re-routes the Ethernet data on to the other fiber in less than a second insuring uninterrupted transmission.

AES/Intellinet introduces 7450XLT unit

AES/IntelliNet’s 7450XLT smart subscriber unit links an alarm panel to a central station. This two-way transceiver and repeater is housed in a full-size locking steel cabinet. The 7450 XLT supports inputs such as NO/NC/EOL and direct voltage. It automatically senses line cuts, antenna or cable cuts, and monitors the optional battery or AC power status. DSX launches communications module

The DSX-LAN module from DSX Access Systems adds flexibility to WinDSX by using TCP/IP communications as well as a dial-up modem and direct serial port connectivity.

All three means of communication can be used at the same time in the same system. The auto-sensing 10/100 Base-T / auto-duplexing module is powered from the DSX Controller.
