PHOENIX—Titan Alarm, a security, access, fire and surveillance company based here, made its third acquisition of 2016, finishing the year strong with the purchase of accounts and RMR of Arrow Security Design LLC, a Scottsdale, Ariz.-based company owned and operated by Ray Millazo, who is retiring after more than 30 years in the industry.
Danny Holmgren, president of Phoenix-based Titan Alarm, has been in the industry for 11 years. Holmgren was with Titan when the company opened in 2008. He started by focusing on the company’s commercial sales, and last year was promoted to his role as president. Security Systems News got the chance to talk with Holmgren about the alarm system he uses at home.

OREM, Utah—Pinnacle Security is suing two former employees and an industry consultant, claiming they “conspired together” to create a new Canadian company, Titan Alarm, to compete against Pinnacle in Canada. Pinnacle contends the employees were working for Pinnacle at the time and that the new company was created by “unlawfully using Pinnacle resources and in violation of contractual and fiduciary duties.”
