Washington Alarm Earns Five-Diamond Certification

SEATTLE--Washington Alarm, a full-service alarm company in the Pacific Northwest, was awarded Five Diamond Certification by the Central Station Alarm Association (CSAA).
To achieve Five Diamond Certification, every Washington Alarm operator had to pass the Level 1 training course and had to demonstrate proficiency in alarm verification, communications with the Public Service Answering Points, emergency preparedness, knowledge of electronic communications equipment including radio, and an understanding of the codes and standards of Underwriters Laboratories, and the NFPA, among others.

LAS VEGAS--Seventy-two percent of Americans want the ability to monitor their homes while away, said a survey released by Z-Wave Alliance in January. The majority of respondents are looking to use the technology for safety and security purposes, such as monitoring who is in the house and knowing when their children arrived home safely from school.
