More Brink's branches in 2006? It all depends

Last year, Brink's Home Security opened five new branches, more than in recent years. Asked if Brink's will continue to expand at this rate in 2006, The Brink's Company vice president and chief financial officer Robert Ritter said the decision to open a new branch has to make economic sense.

AVON, Minn.--Mark Kurtz, a chainsaw artist and former professional wrestler known as "Chainsaw Man," made a New Year's resolution to install a new security system in his home-based art studio after four of the nine sculptures stolen from his home in August 2005 were recovered last month, according to the Minneapolis Star Tribune.

WASHINGTON--Federal judges who will be getting home security systems installed and paid for by taxpayers are waiting to find out whether taxpayers will also foot the bill for the monthly monitoring fees.
As Security Systems News went to press, the judges were expecting an answer by mid-December, said Nikki Credic, spokeswoman for the United States Marshals Service.
