FSD wins contract

HURST, Texas - The Republic Group of Insurance Companies has selected Fire Systems Design, a Notifier distributor based here, to serve as the contractor for the retrofit fire alarm installation in the company’s 314,000 square foot headquarters in Dallas.

The new system will include a Notifier AM-2020 fire alarm control panel with remote audio paging capabilities and multiple XPIQ transponders distributed throughout the building for audio amplification.

MONTPELIER, Vt. - City lawmakers here have drafted an ordinance that would require all buildings in the city’s downtown area to be fitted with a fire sprinkler system after a fire leveled a building in that section of the city in May, according to The Barre Times/Montpelier Argus.
