IRVINE, Calif.—Allied Universal is recognizing security professionals nationwide during National Security Officer Appreciation Week, taking place Sept. 21-27.

"Security professionals deserve our appreciation for the skill, professionalism and commitment they bring to their work every day," said Steve Jones, global chairman and CEO of Allied Universal. "At Allied Universal, we value their contributions each day and I encourage everyone to take a moment this week to recognize a security professional and thank them for all they do."
According to Allied Universal, the company established National Security Officer Appreciation Week in 2015 to highlight the work performed by security professionals in workplaces, schools, transportation hubs, retail environments and other public settings.
The company is encouraging businesses, community organizations and individuals to recognize security officers during the week and share messages of appreciation on social media using the hashtags #SecurityOfficerAppreciationWeek and #ThankYouSecurity.
