Alocity integrates Mercury platform to expand AI-powered security offering

PEMBROKE PINES, Fla.—Alocity has announced support for Mercury Security's open access control infrastructure, expanding its AI operating system for physical security and giving customers a path to modernize security operations without replacing existing hardware.

The integration combines Mercury's widely used controller platform with Alocity's cloud-based suite of tools, including access control, artificial intelligence (AI) video analytics, visitor management, intercoms and workflow automation.

AlocityAccording to the company, the partnership allows organizations to preserve existing infrastructure investments while adding modern cloud and AI capabilities.

"Mercury represents what the physical security industry needs more of: open infrastructure and customer choice," said Marco Quintero, founder and CEO of Alocity. "We can combine that proven access control foundation with an entirely new generation of AI-driven software."

A key component of the platform is Aimee, Alocity's AI operator, which enables users to interact with access control systems, cameras, visitors and intercoms through natural-language prompts. The company said users can investigate incidents, generate reports and automate responses to security events through a single interface.

Alocity said the Mercury integration aligns with its philosophy of "Open infrastructure underneath. Intelligent software above it," positioning Mercury as the access control foundation and Alocity as the intelligence layer that brings together access control, video, visitor management and workflows.

The move also strengthens Alocity's channel-focused strategy. Security integrators can deploy new Mercury-based systems or help customers modernize existing Mercury environments with cloud management, AI video capabilities and automation, without requiring wholesale hardware replacement.

"Our partners already understand Mercury and why open architecture matters," said DJ Atkins, senior vice president of channel development at Alocity. "Alocity gives them a new software and AI platform to bring to those conversations."
