Bay Alarm funds cop training Brief

PACHECO, Calif.--A Bay Alarm scholarship for the Contra Costa Sheriff's Law Enforcement Training Center helped triple the number of recruits attending the 26-week academic and physical fitness training program, said Eric Taylor, vice president of sales and marketing for Bay Alarm. The class size increased from 17 two years ago to 54 in the fall 2005 class. For the second year, the company pledged $85,000 to support LETC. "[This program] gives law enforcement agencies a greater range of qualified candidates to choose from," he said. Graduates are eligible to apply to any law enforcement agency in state of California.
