Brink's earning higher for Q2 this year

RICHMOND, Va.--The Brink's Company, parent company of Brink's Home Security, on Aug. 2 reported second quarter income from continuing operations of $21.2 million, or 42 cents per share. This is up from $2.2 million in the same quarter last year. The company reported that year-over-year improved results are partly due to higher profits at Brink's Home Security, which rose 13 percent compared to the second quarter last year.
